The land, air, and water of upstate New York's 28-county Marcellus region are threatened by the prospect of fracking. With that in mind, we've partnered with Chefs for the Marcellus and New Yorkers Against Fracking to work toward a ban on fracking in New York State. On Thursday, July 26, please join a group of the city's leading chefs at Brooklyn Winery and savor the food, beer, wines and spirits from this beautiful, bountiful region. Chefs include:
VIP Admission 6:00 – 7:00pm ($250; $225 early bird discount through July 16) Includes VIP reception, main event, and after-party
General Admission 7:00 – 10:00pm ($125; $110 early bird discount through July 16) Tastings paired with wine, beer, & cocktails from the Marcellus. Pairings by Jimmy Carbone, Jimmy's No. 43 and Brooklyn Winery's own winemaker extraordinaire, Conor McCormack
Ommegang After-Party at Brooklyn Bowl 10:00pm - 12:00am ($25; advance sales only, no tickets at the door) Complimentary Ommegang beer and live music!
Chefs for the Marcellus, a campaign that Baum Forum helped launch, is a group of chefs, restaurateurs, and other food professionals who have come together to protect our regional foodshed from the dangers of fracking for natural gas. With New Yorkers Against Fracking, a broad-based state-wide coalition, we are inspiring businesses and organizations to work for a ban against fracking in NY.
