Assistant Manager

Job Overview:

Event Sales Manager

Job Overview:

The Sales Manager is responsible for conducting an end to end sales process to sell, high-end private events at the Brooklyn Winery. This includes lead generation, proposal writing, client calls, space walk-throughs and ultimately closing deals. This position will regularly meet with clients and must have a hunter mentality regarding lead generation. The Sales Manager will report to the Director of Sales.

The Sales Manager should possess a minimum of 3 to 5 years previous sales experience.  Previous experience in the following fields are preferred:  Media Sales, Medical Sales, Consumer Packaged Goods, Fashion, Hospitality and Beverage specifically on a wholesales level. This position requires strong negotiation, closing, organizational and administrative skills. A passion to sell, close deals and exceed targets is a MUST.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Meet or exceed sales targets
  • Generate high-quality client leads in key industries (e.g., wedding, corporate)
  • Diligently respond to inbound event requests
  • Proactively reach out to high potential customers
  • Generate proposals
  • Meet with potential clients and conduct space walk-throughs
  • Manage customer relationship from lead to sale
  • Maintain detailed and well-organized records on clients through utilizing company’s CRM system
  • Build and maintain relationships with internal and external partners
  • Work with Event Managers to make seamless hand-off of sold event clients
  • Work with Event Director to help execute annual sales plan

What We Are Looking For:

  • Bachelor’s degree, ideally in Business, Marketing, Communications or related degree from an accredited university
  • 3-5 years of experience in high ticket sales
  • Previous experience with prospecting, cold-calling and proposal writing
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Must demonstrate proficient knowledge and use of computer and basic programs (Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, Microsoft PowerPoint, Salesforce, Highrise)
  • Detail oriented and exceptional organizational skills
  • Entrepreneurial and excited to work for a start-up
  • Self-sufficient
  • Must have ability to multi-task in fast-paced environment, competently handling demanding deadlines.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to interface with clients; must demonstrate professional phone and business etiquette
  • Strong budgetary management skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Great work ethic and a positive attitude
  • Knowledge of and appreciation of wine strongly preferred

PR Specialist

Job Overview:

Brooklyn Winery seeks public relations specialist who is extremely well connected in the wine and hospitality industries, specifically in NYC. This is a freelance position. We are a vibrant, dynamic organization and are looking for someone with fresh, creative ideas that will result in meaningful and impactful media coverage. This person will be responsible for bringing recognition and awareness to our business and our products by leveraging media relationships and creating dynamic content and story angles for media placement.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in creating and executing PR plans, objectives and goals
  • Proactive content creation and story development
  • Writing / Pitching / Reporting Develop/maintain ongoing PR activity calendar
  • Conduct media follow-up calls/emails
  • Prepare and distribute incremental coverage and wrap-up reports internally and provide analysis of projects
  • Create and maintain an archive of press coverage (press clippings, HD TV clips, etc.)
  • Act as gatekeeper of PR materials and work in tandem with social media team to ensure consistent messaging

What We are Looking For:

  • Bachelors degree
  • Minimum 5 years relevant experience (PR agency experience preferred)
  • Must have substantial existing media relations in wine and hospitality industries (particularily in the NYC market)
  • Proven track record of success
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills (Writing samples required)
  • Self-motivated, highly organized and able to work independently
  • Digitally savvy and able to administer social media PR campaigns
