As a floor manager, you are the responsible for the entire operation of the restaurant and making sure that each employee adheres to company policies and standards at all times. The floor managers supports the GM and Executive Chef in overseeing the daily operations and continually develop the front of house staff in continuing to be a close knit team. This position reports directly to the General Manager.

Abbreviated list of duties and responsibilities
• Work with general manager, chef, and owners in running day to day operations of restaurant to company standards
• Conduct daily pre-shift meetings that set the tone for entire service
• Check that each employees opening and closing sidework are finished correctly
• Maintain positive guest relations at all times
• Set example for staff by being a 'model of hospitality'
• Adjust staff roles as needed throughout service in order to provide the highest quality service possible
• Place timely and accurate orders with vendors in order to maintain proper stock levels at all times
• Work with upper management to further train and develop service staff
• Assist upper management with maintaining proper staffing levels through standard hiring practices and referrals
• Run and maintain accurate reports at all times (financials, labor, inventory)

Brooklyn Winery is seeking an extremely motivated salesperson with a minimum of 3 years experience in the events sales industry to maintain and grow its successful CORPORATE EVENTS business. Brooklyn Winery hosts over 150 non-wedding events per year and is looking for a bright, assertive new manager to maintain this business, maximize available inventory and grow the average event budget within the space. This Events Sales Manager will be responsible for:

  • Driving and responding to incoming event inquiries with a keen ability to prioritize and recognize business opportunities
  • Taking clients through the full sales process from inquiry to post-booking, including but not limited to:
    • Responding to client with all basic offering information
    • Client qualification and appointment booking
    • Walk-Through appointments
    • Contract & Booking
    • Follow-up and client maintenance
  • Working with Director of Sales + Events to develop and maintain strategic partner relationships to build awareness in both the social and corporate event markets, while actively seeking out potential long-term accounts
  • Meeting monthly, quarterly and annual sales goals sales goals and accurately tracking projections
  • Maintenance of sales collateral and marketing materials

The candidate should be extremely personable, well organized and a self-starter. Rolodex of existing clients and corporate event planners is a plus. Compensation is competitive and commensurate with experience.

Our boutique urban winery is set in the heart of Williamsburg, one of the borough's most vibrant and creative neighborhoods. We function as a private event venue, and wine bar, featuring full-service weddings with wine crafted on-site, exquisite cuisine, and the beautiful winery as a backdrop. Must have the following:
