Job Description
Brooklyn Winery allows individuals and businesses to purchase winemaking packages where they can make their own wine in Brooklyn. The Barrel Sales and Account Manager position will focus on two main aspects of winemaking packages that occur on a biannual cycle: sales and account management. The first is winemaking sales and includes but is not limited to determining the company’s sales focus (e.g., corporate, wedding, luxury, etc.), generating leads, developing industry relationships and leading the sales process with prospective clients. Once the sales cycle has finished, the position will focus on account management and the client experience throughout the winemaking program.
Sales Responsibilities
- Establish business/client targets and develop strategic plans to achieve targets
- Generate high-quality event client leads in key industries (e.g., corporate, wedding, luxury)
- Diligently respond to inbound winemaking requests
- Proactively reach out to high potential customers
- Manage open leads through CRM system (currently using Highrise)
- Manage day-to-day sales process for Winemaking Packages
- Work alongside the CEO on key strategic sales initiatives
- Work alongside and help the CEO maintain all winemaking forecasts and budgets
Account Management Responsibilities
- Manage all day-to-day client winemaking accounts
- Keep regular correspondence with clients
- Schedule client winemaking sessions
- Host the majority of winemaking sessions
- Help brainstorm and execute all winemaking client parties
- Help coordinate labeling process between clients and federal goverment
- Work with Winemaker to schedule sessions
- Assist President and CEO with improving client satisfaction
What We Are Looking For:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university
- Minimum of 5 years experience in a sales role related to “experiential products” and/or luxury items
- Minimum of 5 years experience managing customer accounts
- Natural ability to build rapport and nurture relationships
- Has a large network of corporate contacts and clientele in the luxury market
- Expertise in Sales and Account Management software (i.e., Salesforce, Highrise, etc.)
- Must demonstrate proficient knowledge and use of computer and basic programs (Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, Microsoft PowerPoint, Salesforce, Highrise)
- Detail oriented and exceptional organizational skills
- Entrepreneurial and excited to work for a start-up
- Self-sufficient
- Ability to build and manage a team and appropriately delegate duties
- Must have ability to multi-task in fast-paced environment, competently handling demanding deadlines
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to interface with clients; must demonstrate professional phone and business etiquette
- Strong budgetary management skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Great work ethic and a positive attitude
- Knowledge of and appreciation of wine strongly preferred
