Alternative Wedding Receptions & Elopement Celebrations

If you’ve already decided that a formal, structured wedding isn’t for you, we’d still love to help you celebrate. On limited dates, Brooklyn Winery offers the option for a beautiful event designed to accommodate couples looking for a more casual reception or elopement party. Each celebration that we host at Brooklyn Winery is different, and whether you are seeking a venue that can host a small, intimate wedding dinner, a cocktail party celebration following a City Hall wedding, a dinner party to celebrate an elopement, or simply a pared down wedding without all of the bells and whistles, Brooklyn Winery can accommodate. If a big wedding isn’t for you, let us know, and we can customize the perfect evening to fit your personality, timeline, and budget! 

Alternative wedding receptions are ideal when booking with a tighter turn around, and can also be great options for couples with a bit of a limited budget. Weekdays are great for these celebrations, with Thursday becoming increasingly popular. These styles of events are fun alternatives to our classic wedding packages, allowing couples to exchange vows in whatever form fits them best! 

Our Harvest Season (September through mid-October) is a unique time of year when our normal minimums do not apply to Friday, Saturday, and Sundays, so it’s the perfect time to host these types of celebrations!

Please note that these packages do not apply to our Regular Season weekend dates. 

 

Stationed Dinner Party

A perfect offering for those wanting to hold a cocktail party with ample food and an open bar. Great for casual dinners and celebrations where guests can mingle and move about the space.

Event Details:

Recommended Start Time: Between 5pm and 9pm
Private Space: Specific event space based on number of guests
Open Bar: 2 Brooklyn Winery red wines, 2 Brooklyn Winery white wines, 4 craft beers, premium sodas
Cocktail Hour: Assortment of cheese and charcuterie, crudités spread with housemade caramelized onion dip, dried fruit, pickled vegetables, olives, rosemary water crackers, toasted baguette, as well as 3 passed hors d’oeuvres
Dinner: A choice of 2 Stations (see current menu)
After Dinner: Dessert Spread with coffee and tea service
Décor: Includes antique glass candle holders, reclaimed wood tables, midcentury oak chairs, linens, and vintage china
Staff: Event Manager, experienced bar and wait staff

Cocktail Party

The ideal private party for those looking to gather friends for a fun celebration with drinks, a robust spread, and hors d’oeuvres.

Event Details:

Private Space: Specific event space based on number of guests
Open Bar: 2 Brooklyn Winery red wines, 2 Brooklyn Winery white wines, 4 craft beers, premium sodas
Antipasti Spread: Assortment of cheese and charcuterie, crudités spread with housemade caramelized onion dip, dried fruit, pickled vegetables, olives, rosemary water crackers, and toasted baguette
Hors d’Oeuvres: Choice of 5 from our Cocktail Party menu
Décor: Includes antique glass candle holders, reclaimed wood tables, midcentury oak chairs, and vintage china
Staff: Wine bar manager and dedicated wine bar server(s)

Family Style Seated Dinner

The perfect option for those who want to host a social dinner that includes a casual but festive dining experience.

Event Details:

Open Bar: 2 Brooklyn Winery red wines, 2 Brooklyn Winery white wines, 4 craft beers, premium sodas
Cocktail Hour: Assortment of cheese and charcuterie, crudités spread with housemade caramelized onion dip, dried fruit, pickled vegetables, olives, rosemary water crackers, and toasted baguette
Dinner: 1 Salad, 2 French-style served Entrées, and 2 Sides (see current menu)
After Dinner: Dessert Spread with coffee and tea service
